Ontologies of the Digital Model

Abstract

Photogrammetry provides “abundant” data to fill virtual reality, allowing lost, fragile objects to be exposed, inspected, and “processed”. The digital objects collected from the material world are usually hollow, to some extent similar to Benjamin’s description of abandoned fetishism or second nature: the world of alienation, avatars, and death. The data here appears in a new look. Digital skinning or misappropriation. Data capture is a form of segmentation; from an economic perspective, it is asset divestiture. This article discusses the ontology of digital models.
